We used to stay up far too late, in front of our cosy fire, as the bedrooms in the back of the house were freezing. Our problem has been solved, with vented air from the living room to the back of the house. Without having to install any extra heating, we get the benefit of the living room heat. The fan automatically turns on when a set temperature is reached to transfer warmth at night, and daytime solar gain to warm and dry the bedrooms during the day. We now have a warm and dry home for minimal amount of energy use.
