If you have a large or multi-storied house, and want different comfort levels for various parts of the building, this is the option for you.
Perhaps you have a room attached to your house for an elderly relative who appreciates the warmth, while your teenagers at the other end of the house prefer cooler temperatures.
You can pre-set comfort temperatures and use one PLC (programmed logic
controller) to control the air flow through ducts to different zones in
the house. Balance the temperatures throughout the house in both summer
and winter
